Government of Jammu and Kashmir: J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) Notification 2025-2026

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), located at Muthi, Akhnoor Road, Jammu / ZamZam Complex Rambagh, Srinagar, has officially released Advertisement Notification No. 15 of 2025 dated 31.12.2025.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 182 UT Cadre posts of Constable (Telecommunication) and Constable (Photographer) in the J&K Police, Home Department, under direct recruitment. Eligibility and Domicile Requirements

Candidates seeking to apply must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority must be possessed on or before the cut-off date of 02.03.2026.

The appointment and service conditions will be governed by the extant rules and regulations of the Government of UT of J&K.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

The age requirements for various categories are detailed below. Generally, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 28 years for most categories, with specific relaxations for In-Service personnel and SPOs.

Annexure “A”: Post Break-up and Qualification

The total number of posts advertised is 182, categorized as follows:

- Constable (Telecommunication): 174 Posts (OM: 70, SC: 13, ST1: 18, ST2: 18, OBC: 14, ALC/IB: 7, RBA: 17, EWS: 17)Qualification: 10+2 with Science. Physical Standard/Endurance tests as per Annexure “B”.

Constable (Photographer): 8 Posts (OM: 3, ST1: 1, ST2: 1, ALC/IB: 1, RBA: 1, EWS: 1)Qualification: 10+2 with Science plus 6 months computer course and two years experience in videography/photography.

Pay Scale for both posts: Level-2 (19900 – 63200).

Selection Criteria
