ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Applications on plain paper are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for the position of two Junior Research Fellows (2 JRFs) and one Technical Assistant (1 TA) on the project titled:

“Permafrost under climate change in two contrasting catchments of the western Himalaya: Implications for infrastructure and lives of marginal communities”.

This project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, under the Advanced Research Grant (ARG) scheme, vide order number ANRF/ARG/2025/012047/EAS.

The project is led by Dr. Irfan Rashid (PI), Associate Professor, Department of Geoinformatics, and Prof. Gh. Jeelani (Co-PI), Department of Earth Science, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.

The positions are temporary, initially for one year, and may be extended for up to five years, co-terminus with the project, subject to the availability of funding from ANRF.
