The Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, Government of India, has issued an official notification regarding Advertisement No. 01/2026. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the prestigious appointment of Vice-Chancellor at Central Sanskrit University, located in Delhi. Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:
• An eminent scholar in the field of Sanskrit and allied subjects, with qualifications as specified under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
• A distinguished academician with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Professor in a University, or 10 years of experience in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership. Salary and Service Conditions:
• The post carries a fixed pay of Rs. 2,10,000/- per month along with a Special Allowance of Rs. 11,250/- and other usual allowances.
• Other terms and conditions of service will be as set forth in the Central Sanskrit Universities Act, 2020, and the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.

Procedure for Appointment:
• The appointment will be made from a panel of three names recommended by a Selection Committee in accordance with the procedures laid down in the Central Sanskrit Universities Act, 2020.
