Eligibility Conditions for Executive Engineer (Civil):
• Classification: Group ‘A’-Gazetted (Ministerial)
• Pay Scale: Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700)

Service Requirements (Any one of the following):
• Candidates holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
• Candidates with nine years of regular service rendered after appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) or equivalent in the parent cadre; or
• Candidates with twelve years of regular service rendered after appointment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) in Level-6 in the pay matrix (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400).

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized University or institute.
• Minimum three years of active experience in construction and maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings including designing, estimating, contracts, and supervision.

Important Recruitment Notes:
• Departmental Assistant Engineers (Civil) in Level-7 with nine years of regular service will be considered alongside outsiders. If selected, their appointment will be treated as promotion.
• The period of deputation (including short-term contracts) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or other Central Government organizations shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
• The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed fifty-six years as on the closing date of application receipt.
• Provisions for re-employment of Armed Forces Personnel are applicable for those due to retire or transfer to reserve within one year, possessing requisite experience.
