NALCO Recruitment 2026: Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) via GATE 2025

A. Requisite Qualification

Candidates must possess a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate for UR/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD categories. The aggregate is calculated by summing all marks across all semesters without rounding off.

Final year engineering students may also apply, provided they pass with the requisite percentage on or before the date of their personal interview. Qualifications must be from UGC/AICTE recognized institutions.

B. Age Limit

The upper age limit is 30 years as on 22/01/2026. Relaxations apply for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10-15 years).

C. Selection Process

NALCO will utilize GATE-2025 marks for shortlisting. Only GATE-2025 scores are valid. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview in a 1:10 ratio per discipline and category. The final selection weightage is 90% for GATE marks and 10% for the Personal Interview.

D. Compensation Package

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹40,000 – 3% – ₹1,40,000 during the one-year training period. Upon successful completion, they will be absorbed as Assistant Managers (E1 grade) in the pay scale of ₹60,000 – 3% – ₹1,80,000 with an additional increment.

E. Service Agreement Bond

Candidates must execute a service agreement bond of ₹3,00,000 (₹4,00,000 if trained abroad) to serve the company for a minimum of four years after training.

F. Application Fee

SC, ST, PwBD, & Departmental Candidates: ₹100/- (Processing fee)
