Advertisement for the Post of JRF under DST-SERB Sponsored Project
Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India funded research project entitled “Seismic Wave-based Tools for the Characterization of Small-Strain Stiffness, Damping and Anisotropy of Soils in the Laboratory”. The duration of the project is 1.5 years.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification: B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and M.E./ M.Tech, in Civil Engineering/ Geotechnical Engineering/Mining Engineering/ Allied disciplines from a recognized university with a minimum 70% or 7.0 CPL/CGPA (Preference will be given to GATE-qualified candidate).
Desirable: Candidates having knowledge of laboratory geotechnical testing, numerical modeling & simulation of geotechnical structures, latest data acquisition systems and interpretation etc
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (plus 16% HRA as admissible) per month for two (1.5) years and Rs. 35,000/- (plus 16% HRA as admissible) per month for 3 year.
Note:
1. The selected candidate may be considered for admission to the Ph.D. program as a regular full-time scholar depending on the eligibility criteria of NIT Srinagar and available extended funding.
2. The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable upto 1.5 years or the end of the project based on performance. The selected candidate will be required to sign a service bond for a period of 1 year.
