Advertisement for Junior Project Fellow (JPF) one position under JKST&IC Funded Project
Applications are invited for the post of 01 JPF position in JKST&IC, Govt. of J&K, funded project entitled ” Estimating Compressive Strength of Concrete using Deep Convolution Neural Networks- An Efficient Nondestructive Testing Method” under Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Sofi, Assistant Professor (P.I.), and Prof. Javed Ahmad Bhat (Co-P.I), in the Department of Civil Engineering at NIT Srinagar.
Qualification:
B.Tech. B.E (Civil Engineering) or an equivalent engineering degree with a background in artificial intelligence/machine learning.
Project-related and relevant experience will be desirable.
Candidates with a relevant master’s degree (Structural Engineering) /Ph.D. (Civil Engineering) or having a qualified GATE Examination in Civil Engineering or a relevant background in Deep Convolutional Neural Networks / Machine learning and can demonstrate programming skills in Python language shall be given preference.
Nature & Period of Post: Appointment as JRF shall initially be for a period of one year with a possibility of extension for a second year. The Extension is subject to satisfactory performance and the release of the grant by the funding agency.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated)

Terms and conditions:
The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project and for the availability of funds. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
