Advertisement for JRF Position (01 post) under ICMR funded Project
Applications are invited for the post of 01 JRF in ICMR, Govt. of India funded project entitled “Investigations on selective proliferation and transport of Antibiotic-resistant bacteria by microplastics” under the Principal Investigator, Dr. Khalid Muzamil Gani and Co-PI Dr Munir Ahmad Nayak.
Qualification:
Post graduate degree with minimum 60% or CGPA 6.5 /10 in Environmental Engineering OR Environmental Sciences OR B.Tech/B.E with minimum 75% or 8.0/10 CGPA in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering AND selected through any one of the following.
CSIR-UGC NET
GATE
Any other national level examination conducted by central government institutions and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER etc.
Project related experience will be desirable.
Nature & Period of Post:
Appointment as JRF initially for a period of one year with a possibility of extension for a second year. The Extension is subject to satisfactory performance and release of grant.
Fellowship:
Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty-one thousand) HRA

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. Mere qualification of eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting. The mode of interview, date, time and venue will be intimated to short-listed candidates only.
The decision of Director NIT Srinagar will be final in all respects.
Terms and conditions:
The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project and/or availability of funds.
Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
