Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must ensure they meet the specific educational requirements for their desired post as of the closing date, 04th February 2026.

Scientific Assistant/B & ST/SA (Cat-I): A Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) with at least 60% marks is required. The diploma must be of 3 years duration after SSC/HSC. Candidates with lateral entry after HSC are eligible, but those with lateral entry after ITI are not.

Stipendiary Trainee Technician (Cat-II): Candidates must have an SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science and Mathematics, plus a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade. For Plant Operators, an HSC (10+2) in Science with 50% marks is required.

Assistant Grade-1: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks is mandatory.

Age Limit and Salary Structure

The age limit varies by post, calculated as of 04th February 2026. Standard age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules.

Upon successful completion of training (where applicable), candidates will be placed in the following pay scales under the 7th CPC:

Scientific Assistant/B: Level 6 (Initial Pay: Rs. 35,400/-)
Technician/B: Level 3 (Initial Pay: Rs. 21,700/-)
Assistant Grade-1 / X-Ray Technician: Level 4 (Initial Pay: Rs. 25,500/-)

A non-refundable application fee is applicable for Male candidates in the General, EWS, and OBC categories. Fees are as follows:

Category-I & Scientific Assistant/B: Rs. 150/-
Category-II, Assistant Grade-1, and others: Rs. 100/-
Exempted: SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Female candidates, and NPCIL employees.
