Advertisement for Recruitment of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in Anganwadi Centers of Poshan Project Narbal
Approval has been accorded for filling up various vacancies of Sanginis and Sahayikas in Anganwadi Centers of POSHAN Project NARBAL, as per the details given below:

Applications are invited in the Prescribed Performa (Annexure “A”) from eligible candidates for engagement as Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper on Honorarium basis.

Eligibility Criteria
A. For Anganwadi Workers (Sanginis)
- Candidate must be a domicile of UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Women candidates in the age group of 18 to 37 years are eligible.
- Candidate should be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
- Name in the voter list shall be considered proof of residence.
- Minimum qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary).
- Maximum qualification: Graduation.
- Candidates having qualification higher than Graduation shall not be considered.
- Weightage shall be given based on marks obtained in 10+2 and selection shall be done purely on merit basis.
B. For Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas)
- Selection shall be restricted to the electoral ward where the AWC is located.
- Women candidates in the age group of 18 to 37 years are eligible.
- Minimum qualification: Matriculation (10th).
- In case no matriculate candidate is available in the ward, candidates with qualification not less than 8th standard shall be considered.
- Preference:
- The committee shall select the most destitute/needy married woman of the ward.
- If no married candidate is available, unmarried candidates may be considered.

Additional Information
The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), now operating under Mission POSHAN, is a flagship Government of India program aimed at providing food, preschool education, primary healthcare, immunization, health check-up, and referral services to children under 6 years of age and their mothers.
Candidates must strictly fulfill ward-level residency requirements, as these posts are highly localized.
