Punjab National Bank (PNB) Recruitment of Local Bank Officers (LBO) 2025: 750 JMGS-I Vacancies – State-wise, Eligibility, Dates

Punjab National Bank (PNB) is inviting online applications for 750 Local Bank Officer (LBO) posts in JMGS-I scale across India. State-wise language proficiency is mandatory. Online application window is open: 03.11.2025 to 23.11.2025.

Grade/Scale: JMGS-I
Pay Scale: 48480-85920 + allowances and perquisites as per bank rules

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 20–30 years as on 01.07.2025 (relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM/EWS per govt. rules)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline (recognized university/institution). Must possess degree/marksheet at registration.
Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in clerical/officer cadre (see notification for details and increments)
Language Proficiency: Must be able to read, write, and speak the specified local language of the state applied for (see official table in notification)
Candidate must apply for only one state; merit and placement will be state/category-wise.

Application & Selection Process

Apply Online: pnb.bank.in (Careers/Recruitments) from 03–23 November 2025 only
Application Fee: ₹1000+GST (GEN/OBC/EWS); ₹59 (SC/ST/PwBD); online payment only
Written Online Test: December 2025 / January 2026 (tentative)
Selection Stages: Online Written Exam → Screening → Local Language Proficiency Test (where required) → Interview
Negative marking: 0.25 per incorrect answer. Minimum cutoffs apply for every section and overall.
Final merit on combined performance (test + interview) subject to qualifying in all stages including LLPT.
Candidates must execute an indemnity bond to serve PNB for at least 3 years after joining.
Healthy credit history and CIBIL score (680+) required at joining. See notification for all conditions.
