Railway Recruitment Board Jammu-Srinagar Junior Engineer Recruitment Advertisement Notice RRB CEN 04/2026

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), under the Government of India, Ministry of Railways, has released a detailed Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 04/2026 for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) posts across various Zones and Production Units.

रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड (RRB), भारत सरकार, रेल मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत, विभिन्न जोनों और उत्पादन इकाइयों में जूनियर इंजीनियर (JE) और डिपो मटेरियल सुपरिंटेंडेंट (DMS) पदों के लिए विस्तृत केंद्रीकृत रोजगार सूचना (CEN) संख्या 04/2026 जारी की है।

The total number of vacancies is 3,993 (tentative) across all RRBs, with posts at Pay Level 6 (₹35,400 initial pay) under the 7th CPC. The age limit is 18–33 years as on 01.01.2027, with relaxations for reserved categories.

कुल रिक्तियाँ 3,993 (अनंतिम) हैं, जो सभी RRBs में 7वें CPC के तहत पे लेवल 6 (प्रारंभिक वेतन ₹35,400) पर हैं। आयु सीमा 01.01.2027 को 18–33 वर्ष है, जिसमें आरक्षित श्रेणियों के लिए छूट है।

Candidates can apply ONLINE ONLY through the official RRB websites. The application process includes creating an account, filling the form, uploading live photograph and signature, and paying the prescribed fee (₹500 for general, ₹250 for SC/ST/ExSM/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Minorities/EBC). Fee is refundable (less bank charges) for those appearing in the 1st Stage CBT.

उम्मीदवार केवल ऑनलाइन आधिकारिक RRB वेबसाइटों के माध्यम से आवेदन कर सकते हैं। आवेदन प्रक्रिया में खाता बनाना, फॉर्म भरना, लाइव फोटो और हस्ताक्षर अपलोड करना तथा निर्धारित शुल्क (सामान्य के लिए ₹500, SC/ST/ExSM/PwBD/महिला/ट्रांसजेंडर/अल्पसंख्यक/EBC के लिए ₹250) का भुगतान करना शामिल है। पहली चरण की CBT में उपस्थित होने वालों को शुल्क (बैंक शुल्क घटाकर) वापस किया जाएगा।

🚉 Vacancies in Jammu & Srinagar Region – RRB Jammu Srinagar (JAT)

RRB Jammu Srinagar (JAT) has multiple vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, S&T, etc.) and Depot Material Superintendent. The detailed RRB‑wise and Railway‑wise vacancy distribution is provided in Annexure B of the official CEN. Candidates who wish to be considered for positions in the Jammu & Kashmir region must choose RRB Jammu Srinagar (JAT) as their preferred RRB at the time of application.

RRB जम्मू श्रीनगर (JAT) के पास जूनियर इंजीनियर (सिविल, इलेक्ट्रिकल, मैकेनिकल, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, S&T आदि) और डिपो मटेरियल सुपरिंटेंडेंट के पदों के लिए कई रिक्तियाँ हैं। RRB‑वार और रेलवे‑वार रिक्ति विवरण आधिकारिक CEN के परिशिष्ट B में दिया गया है। जो उम्मीदवार जम्मू एवं कश्मीर क्षेत्र में पदों के लिए विचार किए जाना चाहते हैं, उन्हें आवेदन के समय अपने पसंदीदा RRB के रूप में RRB जम्मू श्रीनगर (JAT) का चयन करना होगा।

The examination centres for J&K include Jammu, Samba, and Srinagar, as mentioned in the tentative list of centres. Candidates from the region are advised to choose these centres for their convenience. The medium of examination for candidates opting for J&K will be available in English, Hindi, and Urdu.

Important: Candidates are allowed to apply to only one RRB. Multiple applications to different RRBs or the same RRB will lead to rejection and debarment. Therefore, candidates from J&K should carefully choose RRB Jammu Srinagar and submit only one application.

महत्वपूर्ण: उम्मीदवार केवल एक RRB में आवेदन कर सकते हैं। विभिन्न RRBs या एक ही RRB में एकाधिक आवेदन खारिज और निर्वासन का कारण बनेंगे। इसलिए, J&K के उम्मीदवारों को सावधानीपूर्वक RRB जम्मू श्रीनगर का चयन करना चाहिए और केवल एक आवेदन जमा करना चाहिए।

Eligibility – Educational Qualification: A three‑year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, etc.) OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the same discipline from a recognised University/Institute. Higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech are also acceptable in lieu of Diploma. For Depot Material Superintendent, a Diploma in any discipline of Engineering is required.

पात्रता – शैक्षणिक योग्यता: प्रासंगिक विषय (सिविल, इलेक्ट्रिकल, मैकेनिकल, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स आदि) में तीन‑वर्षीय डिप्लोमा इंजीनियरिंग अथवा उसी विषय में B.E./B.Tech की डिग्री। डिप्लोमा के स्थान पर B.E./B.Tech जैसी उच्च योग्यताएँ भी स्वीकार्य हैं। डिपो मटेरियल सुपरिंटेंडेंट के लिए इंजीनियरिंग के किसी भी विषय में डिप्लोमा आवश्यक है।

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027): 18 to 33 years. Relaxations: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC (NCL) – 3 years, PwBD – 10/13/15 years, Ex‑Servicemen – 3/6/8 years, etc. Detailed relaxation table is available in the notification.

Selection Process: It consists of two stages of Computer Based Tests (CBT) – 1st Stage CBT (screening, 100 questions, 90 minutes) and 2nd Stage CBT (150 questions, 120 minutes). Shortlisting for 2nd Stage is based on marks in 1st Stage (15 times the vacancies). Final selection is based on merit in 2nd Stage, followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.

चयन प्रक्रिया: इसमें कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा (CBT) के दो चरण हैं – पहला चरण CBT (स्क्रीनिंग, 100 प्रश्न, 90 मिनट) और दूसरा चरण CBT (150 प्रश्न, 120 मिनट)। दूसरे चरण के लिए शॉर्टलिस्टिंग पहले चरण के अंकों पर आधारित है (रिक्तियों की 15 गुना)। अंतिम चयन दूसरे चरण की मेरिट, दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन और चिकित्सा परीक्षण पर आधारित है।

Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer in both CBTs. Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS – 40%, OBC/SC – 30%, ST – 25%. Relaxation of 2 marks for PwBD if shortage of candidates.

नकारात्मक अंकन: दोनों CBTs में प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए 1/3 अंक काटे जाएंगे। न्यूनतम योग्यता अंक: UR/EWS – 40%, OBC/SC – 30%, ST – 25%. PwBD के लिए 2 अंकों की छूट (यदि उम्मीदवारों की कमी हो)।

How to Apply: Visit the official RRB website rrb.indianrailways.gov.in and navigate to the CEN 04/2026 link. Create an account (use existing account if already created), fill the online form with correct details, upload live photograph, signature, and required documents (SC/ST certificate for free travel pass), choose your RRB (JAT for J&K), and pay the fee online. After submission, you may modify certain details during the modification window by paying a fee of ₹250 per modification. No hard copy is required to be sent.
