The School of Architecture, Jammu (approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi & affiliated with the University of Jammu) has issued an advertisement notice for the engagement of candidates as Assistant Professors on Academic Arrangement (AA) on a need-basis. स्कूल ऑफ आर्किटेक्चर, जम्मू (School of Architecture, Jammu) ने शैक्षणिक सत्र 2026-27 के लिए जरूरत के आधार पर ‘अकादमिक व्यवस्था’ (Academic Arrangement) के तहत असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर के पदों पर भर्ती के लिए आवेदन आमंत्रित किए हैं।

Eligibility Details

The detailed posts, required qualification, and experience criteria are outlined below:

1. Assistant Professor (Architecture)

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch AND Master’s Degree in Architecture or in allied subjects of Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks at either level, along with 01 year of relevant professional experience.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch with a minimum of 60% marks and a minimum of 03 years of relevant professional experience.

2. Assistant Professor (Structural Engineering)

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering AND Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks at either level.
At least 01 year of relevant professional experience.

Selection Criteria & Weightage

The selection of candidates will be done by a Selection Committee based strictly on a merit list prepared according to the criteria below:

Important Selection Note: The Principal of the School of Architecture, Jammu, will conduct an interview and/or arrange a written/screening test if required. Candidates who have qualified NET, SLET, or hold a Ph.D. are exempted from the written/screening test.

The engagement will be made under Govt. Order No. 137-JK (HE) of 2024 dated 01.03.2024.
The appointment is strictly for one Academic Session or until filled by J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC) / regular posting.
Selected candidates must furnish an Affidavit on Rs. 20/- Non-judicial stamp paper attested by a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate confirming acceptance of academic arrangement terms and relinquishing any preferential claim for regularization.
