1. Introduction

School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu (NAAC Accredited A++ Grade University), Advertisement Notice. Applications are invited from the candidates as per the eligibility mentioned below for the following position in the DBT, Govt. of India funded research project entitled, “Devising a platform for CRISPR-Cas9 mediated manipulation of apocarotenoid pathway in Saffron”. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

2. Job Requirements

The applications complete in all respects should reach the office of the School of Biotechnology within 15 days from the date of publishing of advertisement in the newspaper. *The position is initially for a period of one year and further extendible based on the progress of the candidate and is co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier.

Project Associate-II (01 Nos.)	i) Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent, And ii) 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations.	Experience in molecular biology, gene editing, plant tissue culture or related techniques.	35 Years	i) 35,000/-pm + 18% HRA to candidates who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions.ii) 28,000 + 18% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
