Eligibility Criteria (as on 28 Nov 2025)

Age Limit: Not over 30 years as on 30 September 2025 (born on or after 01.10.1995). Relaxations: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwBD +10 yrs (cumulative as per norms).
Educational Qualification (stream-wise):
- General: Master’s in any discipline or Bachelor’s in Law/Engineering or CA/CFA/CS/Cost Accountant
- Legal: Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) – experience desirable
- IT: Bachelor’s in Engineering (any branch) OR Bachelor’s in any discipline and 2-yr PG in IT/CS
- Research: Master’s/PG Diploma (2 yrs) in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.
- Official Language: Master’s in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject OR Master’s in Sanskrit/Economics/Commerce/English with Hindi as a subject
- Engg. (Electrical/Civil): Bachelor’s in relevant branch
All qualifications must be from recognized institutions by 28 November 2025.

Pay Scale & Emoluments

Pay: ₹62,500–₹2,17,000 (Grade A)
Gross Salary: ~₹1,84,000/month (Mumbai, without accommodation)
Perks: NPS, LTC, health & insurance, learning allowance, house/furnishing loans, computer scheme, etc.
Posting: Anywhere in India across SEBI offices

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Phase I – Online Exam (Screening):
- Paper 1: General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning (100 marks; 60 mins)
- Paper 2: Stream-specific MCQs (100 marks; 40 mins)
- Negative marking: 1/4th per wrong answer; aggregate cut-off 40
Phase II – Online Exam (Main):
- Paper 1: English Descriptive (100 marks; 60 mins; cut-off 30, weight: 1/3)
- Paper 2: Stream-specific MCQs/Descriptives (100 marks; cut-off 40, weight: 2/3)
- Aggregate qualifying cut-off 50 (marks weighting as above)
Phase III – Interview:
- Weightage: Phase II 85%, Interview 15%

Maximum 2 streams per applicant (latest application considered for a stream)
Applicants may be posted/transferred to any department or location in SEBI
