Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), through the Division of Wildlife Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, Benhama (191201), has released an advertisement notice inviting applications for temporary project-based positions.
These posts are sanctioned under a DBT (Department of Biotechnology), Government of India funded research project titled:
“Assessing population dynamics, genetics and breeding patterns of threatened mountain ungulates for species recovery and community based conservation in Western Himalayas.”

Position 1: Project Associate – I

| Desirable Qualification | UGC/CSIR NET with strong field & molecular research experience |
Position 2: Technical Assistant

| Essential Qualification | B.Sc. in Agricultural & Allied Sciences / Natural Sciences with basic fieldwork knowledge |
| Desirable Qualification | Master’s in Wildlife Sciences / Forestry / Zoology with wildlife, computer, and molecular research experience |
General Terms & Conditions
- Positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
- No claim for permanent absorption in SKUAST-K
- Selected candidates will be on six months probation
- Candidates must be willing to work at field stations across J&K and eastern Ladakh
- Performance will be reviewed periodically
