Applications son prescribed format tare invited from the eligible and interested candidates for the below mentioned positions available in the DBT, New Delhi funded research project entitled “Deciphering the Genetics for Enhancing Yield and Nutritional Potential of Buckwheat”.

The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

(M.Sc Biotechnology/M.Sc. Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/M.Sc. Genet- ics & Plant breeding/M.Sc. Vegetable Science) with (B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.Sc. Horticulture).

Candidate should have qualified NET/GATE or other accredited tests. In case of

FIELD CUM LAB. ASSISTANT

Essential: B.Sc. Agriculture/Horticulture.

Relevant: Experience in field work (collection of biological materials and their characterisation, recording observations and maintenance of biological materials)

non-availability/non-suitability of NET/GATE qualified candidates, non-NET/ GATE candidates will be given preference with emoluments as per the funding agency rules.

Desirable: Experience in Nutritional genomics, molecular characterisation and field evaluation.

Status of the Job

Temporary for initial 01 year and extendable upto 03 years after due evaluation of the progress made in the first year. Frequent exploration visits to Gurez and other north west Himalayan regions are to be made.
