Description of Work
Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree in Wildlife Sciences Or Ph.D. in Forestry/Zoology/Vet. Sc. & AH from a recognized university with significant proven experience in Wildlife research
Candidates with demonstrated prior experience in wildlife research particularly on ungulate ecology, molecular work, and spatial analysis of data with GIS/RS, strong modelling and data analytics skills will be
preferred
The candidate will conduct field surveys, camera trapping, sign surveys, and occupancy framework to gather ecological, behavioral, breeding, and demographic data on mountain ungulates (Hangul, Chinu, and Musk deer) across designated PAs in the high Himalayas in Jammu & Kashmir and eastern Ladakh, Responsibilities also include animal habituation for collaring molecular and genomic analysis, and preparation reports, spedes-specific conservation plans, and research publications per project requirements.
