Advertisement Notice for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / जूनियर रिसर्च फेलो (JRF) के पद के लिए विज्ञापन सूचना

Applications are invited on plain paper from Indian nationals with complete CV and necessary qualifications/experience certificates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Space Application Centre, ISRO funded project entitled “Study of glacier dynamics and mass balance of benchmark glaciers of Ladakh Himalayas using NISAR data sets”.
अंतरिक्ष उपयोग केंद्र (SAC), इसरो द्वारा वित्त पोषित परियोजना “Study of glacier dynamics and mass balance of benchmark glaciers of Ladakh Himalayas using NISAR data sets” के तहत जूनियर रिसर्च फेलो (JRF) के पद के लिए भारतीय नागरिकों से आवेदन आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं।

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)	01 (One)	28 years*	Rs. 37,000/- + 20% HRA	Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following: a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE. b) National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Project Associate-1 (In case suitable JRF candidate is not found)	01 (One)	Upper age limit 35 years	Rs. 31,000/- + 20% HRA	Post Graduate Degree in Natural Sciences, MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

*Relaxation in age limit for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Women/Physically handicapped as per the Govt. of India rules.
Tenure of the project: 3 years (Purely temporary / part time for a period of one year, extension subject to performance).

Desirable Qualifications:
◆ Working experience in Himalayas with good communication/writing skill.
◆ Good knowledge of computers and SAR Remote sensing/statistical software.
◆ Work on Glacier science at PG level shall be preferred.
◆ Master’s degree in RS & GIS/ Geomatics Engineering / Geoinformatics/ Environmental Sciences/ Applied Geology/Geology.
