Walk-in-interview
The interested and eligible candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview available under the research project titled “Documentation of Wooden Khanqahs of Kashmir” funded by Endangered Wooden Architecture Program, Oxford Brookes University, UK on 18th January 2024, at 2:30 PM in office of the Dean, School of Social Sciences, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
Position
Research Assistant (01 no. for 6 months) (extendable)
Essential Qualification
a. Bachelor of Architecture or Masters in Conservation with minimum five years of extensive experience in the field of documentation of architectural heritage, using measured drawings, photography and other traditional survey methods.
b. Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word and Photoshop.
Desirable Qualification
a. Knowledge of Kashmir’s traditional architecture and construction technologies. Some knowledge of digital software used for survey and documentation of the built heritage.
b. Should possess skills with good hand at sketching and fieldwork note-taking.
The position is temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project. The emoluments will be paid as per the guidelines of the funding agency. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. The candidates should come along with original and xerox copy of all relevant qualifications prescribed for the said post.
