WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The interested and eligible candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview

to be held on 15 June 2022 (Wednesday) at 2:30 PM sharp in the office

of the Director, Centre of Research for Development (CORD) for filling

a single position of ‘Research Personnel’ available under the National

Development Foundation (NDFVDepartment of Wildlife Protection (DWP),

J&K sponsored research project entitled “Preparation of PRI based

geo-referenced biodiversity assessment, documentation

and conservation plan of wild flora and fauna of Kishtwar

High Altitude National Park (KHANP)”. The position with monthly

stipend of Rs. 30,000 (consolidated) is purely on temporary basis for

a period of one year. This is primarily a field based position where the

research personnel is expected to conduct extensive field surveys, sample

collection and deployment of camera traps, carryout laboratory analysis,

data visualization/statistical analysis, alongwith scientific writing as progress

reports and research articles. Experience of using GIS based softwares

and DNAextraction from non-invasive samples would be desirable. Please

bring all original documents at the time of interview.

The candidate should be an Indian citizen with Masters Degree in

Ecology/Wildlife Science/Environmental Science with at least 55% marks.

Only those candidates with age less than 35 years on the interview date

are eligible for this position. The candidate must be a dedicated field worker,

ready to trek, camp and stay in remote and rugged high altitude terrain

of Kishtwar NP and other PA of J&K. The candidate should have prior

experience of working in such difficult terrains with a multi-disciplinary career

profile ranging from field ecology, molecular biology, GIS to community

based conservation. The candidates must email their CV including a brief
