Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill up the vacant project positions under the two DST and one RUSA sponsored research projects as per the details given below. The positions are initially for a period of one year, extendable and co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualification
Principal Project Associate (1) (Rs 49000/- HRA) under CoE for Glacier Studies in the Himalaya
Ph.D. (Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate change)
Senior Project Associate (1) (Rs 42000/-HRA)
Desirable: Research experience in Glaciology/Climate change modelling/Air pollution/ with 3 years’ post-doctoral experience Ph.D. (Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate change)
CoE for Glacier Studies in the Himalaya Project Associate-II (2)
Desirable: Research experience in Glaciology/Climate change modelling/Air pollution/ with 2 years’ post-doctoral experience 60% marks in M.Sc. Geoinformatics
(Rs 35000/-HRA)
CoE for Glacier Studies in the Himalaya
Desirable: 2-Years research experience in glaciology/geospatial modelling with 2 years’ research experience after MSc. Preference will be given to the PhD holders, if otherwise eligible 60% marks in M.Sc. Geoinformatics
Project Associate-I (1) (Rs 31000/-HRA)
Desirable: 1-Year research experience in glaciology/geospatial modelling with 1-year research experience after MSc 60% marks in M.Sc. Geoinformatics
CoE for Glacier Studies in the Himalaya Project Fellow (2)
(Rs 20000/-consolidated) RUSA 2.0 Project
Desirable: Research experience in glaciology/geospatial modelling at MSc level BE/B.Tech. Computer/Mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering
Scientific Administrative Assistant (1)
(Rs. 18000/-HRA) under Capacity Building Programme in Glaciology
or M. Se. Geoinformatics with at least 60% marks Desirable: Knowledge/Experience of computer applications/ refrigeration/electronics etc.

1 The application submission process shall commence from 05 Feb, 2024 till 20 Feb,, 2024,
11. The interview of the eligible candidates is scheduled on 20 February, 2024 at 2:30 PM onwards in physical/online mode, in the National Ice-core Laboratory, University of Kashmir.
The candidates should bring their original documents regarding qualification/experience/publications etc. at
the time of interview.
The PI/Selection committee reserves the right not to fill up the post in case they didn’t find any candidate IV. suitable for the position.
The number of vacancies mentioned in the advertisement may vary depending upon the requirements as
