Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill up the vacant project positions under the following two DST sponsored research projects as per the details given below. The positions are initially for a period of one year, extendable and co-terminus with the projects.

Description of post

Senior Project Associate (1) (Rs 42000/-+HRA)

Project: CoE for Glacier Studies.

Project Associate-II (1) (Rs 35000/- + HRA)

Project: CoE for Glacier Studies

Project Associate-I (1) (Rs 31,000/- + HRA)

Project: CoE for Glacier Studies Scientific Administrative assistant/

Field worker (1) (Rs 20000/- + HRA)

Project: CoE for Glacier Studies Scientific Administrative Assistant (1) (Rs. 18000/- + HRA)

Project: Capacity Building in Glaciology

Essential Qualification

Ph.D. (Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate science)

Desirable: 2 years post-doctoral research experience in glaciology/ Climate modelling/Glacial geomorphology

60% marks in MSc. Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate Science

Desirable: 2-Years research experience in any field of glaciology 60% marks in MSc. Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate Science Desirable: 1-Year research experience in glaciology

M. Sc. Geoinformatics/Geology/ with at least 60% marks

Desirable: Experience of Glacier fieldwork and preference will be

giving to male candidates 3-year diploma (Mechanical/electric Eng.)/B. Tech in electronics & Communication Eng/Mechanical Eng./BCA/M.Sc. Geoinformatics/

Desirable: Preference will be given to male candidate with soft skills.

Note:

L The application submission process shall commence from 01 October., 2024 till 13 October., 2024. The interview of the eligible candidates will be intimated via mail or call and the interview will be in physical/online mode, in the National Ice-core Laboratory, University of Kashmir.

111. The candidates should bring their original documents regarding qualification/experience/publications etc. at the time of interview.

IV. The PI/Selection committee reserves the right not to fill up the post in case they didn’t find any candidate
