University of Kashmir (NAAC Accredited Grade “A++”) has released Advertisement Notice No. 17 of 2026 dated 06-08-2026 for the recruitment of Assistant Professors & Equivalent positions.

कश्मीर विश्वविद्यालय (NAAC Accredited Grade “A++”) ने सहायक प्रोफेसर एवं समतुल्य पदों के लिए विज्ञापन संख्या 17/2026 दिनांक 06-08-2026 जारी किया है।

The vacancies are available in various Campuses/Departments/Institutes/Centres of the University, with Pay Matrix Academic Level – 10 (₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400) plus allowances as per 7th CPC.

ये रिक्तियाँ विश्वविद्यालय के विभिन्न परिसरों/विभागों/संस्थानों/केन्द्रों में उपलब्ध हैं, जिनमें 7th CPC के अनुसार शैक्षणिक स्तर – 10 (₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400) तथा भत्ते दिए जाएंगे।

Essential Qualification (General): Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant subject from an Indian University or equivalent foreign degree. For specific subjects like Bio‑Informatics, Archaeology, Home Science, Geo‑Informatics, etc., detailed subject‑specific qualifications are given in the advertisement.

आवश्यक योग्यता (सामान्य): संबंधित/प्रासंगिक विषय में भारतीय विश्वविद्यालय से कम से कम 55% अंक (या समकक्ष ग्रेड) के साथ मास्टर डिग्री या समकक्ष विदेशी डिग्री। बायो-इन्फॉर्मेटिक्स, पुरातत्व, गृह विज्ञान, जियो-इन्फॉर्मेटिक्स आदि विशिष्ट विषयों के लिए विज्ञापन में विस्तृत विषय-विशिष्ट योग्यताएँ दी गई हैं।

NET/SET Requirement: NET is compulsory for PG degree holders. However, candidates from UT of J&K not NET qualified may apply with SET. Candidates with Ph.D (in compliance with UGC regulations) are exempted from NET/SET, subject to conditions.

Shortlisting Criteria: If the number of applications exceeds 20 per post, only 20 candidates per post (plus 5 additional for each extra post) will be shortlisted based on academic credentials. Shortlisting parameters are given in the advertisement. Final selection is based solely on interview performance.
