The Department of Botany at the University of Kashmir (KU), Hazratbal Srinagar, has officially released a notification for a walk-in-interview. This recruitment drive is for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a prestigious research project.

The project is titled “Scientific and Technological Interventions for Socio-Economic Empowerment of Women Folk of Dab Village of District Ganderbal, Kashmir, UT of J&K”. It is funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

Walk-in-Interview Schedule

Interested and eligible candidates are invited to attend the interview on 12th January 2026 at 11:30 AM. The venue for the interview is the Department of Botany, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.

Position	Consolidated Monthly Emoluments (Rs.)	Essential Qualification/Desirable Experience
Junior Research Fellow (01 No.)	37000 + 18% HRA	M.Sc in Botany / Food Science & Nutrition / Food Science and Technology with minimum 55% marks.

Application Requirements

Eligible candidates must bring a duly signed application for the position along with a detailed Biodata/CV. You must also carry self-attested photocopies of certificates, testimonials, and other relevant documents.

Candidates are required to produce original certificates at the time of interview to verify qualifications, percentage of marks, and any relevant research experience.

Please note that the appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selection will be governed by the terms and conditions prescribed for the project. The candidate will be appointed with retrospective effect from the date of resignation of the previous incumbent.

Note: No TA/DA shall be provided for appearing in the interview.
