Project Recruitment at Department of Psychology, University of Kashmir

The Department of Psychology at the University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar, has issued an advertisement notice for the recruitment of project staff. These positions are for an ICSSR-sponsored Major Research Project (MRP).

The project is titled “Viksit Bharat @2047 in Action: A Longitudinal Analysis of the Financial and Psychological Wellbeing of Mahila Career Agents working under Bima Sakhi Yojana”. The engagement is purely on a temporary basis.

The total duration of the Major Research Project is 18 months. However, the initial engagement for the specific staff positions varies as per the requirements of the study phases.

Research Assistant	Post Graduate in Social Science Discipline with Minimum 55% marks	Five (05) Months	NET/SET/GATE Qualified candidates will be given preference	INR 37000/- per month (subject to release of funds by ICSSR).
Field Investigator	Post Graduate in any Social Science Discipline with Minimum 55% marks.	Two (02) Months	Post Graduate in Social Science Discipline with Minimum 55% marks.	INR 20000/- per month (subject to release of funds by ICSSR).

The extension of the duration of engagement for these posts will depend entirely on the performance of the candidate and the quantum of work involved in data collection and compilation.

Selection will be based on merit, interview performance, and knowledge related to the project’s work elements. Interviews are preferred to be held offline at the University campus.
