About Fellowship 2025

Mukherjee Fellowship, a Policy, Politics and Governance Foundation (PPGF) initiative, is offering 2025-2026 a unique fellowship opportunity to provide young professionals across India a hands-on policy, politics and governance experience.

Working closely with premier elected representatives and senior leaders in the country for a year, Fellows stand to gain insights into the world of policymaking and active politics.PPGF INDIA MUKHERJEE FELLOWSHIP 2025-26

Working with subject matter experts on a wide range of rol ranging from legislative briefing to active social media management, the Fellowship aims to set young professionals up for a successful career in the space.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian citizen

Age: Born on or after July 1, 2000 (≤25 years by July 1, 2025) (mukherjee.ppgf.in)

Education: Final-year

undergrad student, graduate, or postgraduate from any discipline

Commitment: Full-time engagement-no concurrent academic or professional commitments allowed (scholardigger.com)

Fellowship Structure

1. Theoretical Module Learning

Duration: ~1.5 months (July-August 2025)

Format: In-person classes in Delhi

Curriculum Topics:

Indian society & history

Political campaigns & communications

Parliamentary procedures & Constitution

Law, economics, caste dynamics, documentation, (scholardigger.com) and democracy

Legal conferences

2. Experiential Learning Module

Duration: ~10.5 months

Format: Placement in offices of MPs, MLAs, Union/State Ministers, and other public leaders

Responsibilities include:

Drafting legislative inputs, policy briefs, parliamentary questions

Assisting in communications and constituency campaigns

Conducting policy research managing leader social (scholardigger.com)

and media

Benefits

Stipend: ₹50,000/month for full 12-month duration

Certification: Course completion certificate from NFPRC/PPGF (mukherjee.ppgf.in)

Post-fellowship support:

Potential job offers in political offices, policy think tanks, corporate/policy consulting

Academic support for further studies.
