State Bank of India (SBI) Recruitment 2026

The State Bank of India (SBI), Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, has released an official notification for the recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) for the year 2025-26. Eligible Indian citizens are invited to apply for these permanent positions across various circles in India.

Candidates selected under this recruitment drive will be posted in the specific Circle for which they applied. The recruitment aims to fill a total of 2050 regular vacancies and 223 backlog vacancies across multiple states and union territories.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Academic Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) holders are also eligible. Candidates with Medical, Engineering, CA, or Cost Accountant qualifications can also apply.

Age Limit (As on 31.12.2025): Not below 21 years and not above 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PWD: 10-15 years).

Experience: Candidates must have relevant post-qualification experience as of 31.12.2025. Experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks or Regional Rural Banks is required. Specific salary requirements (Rs 9.50 lacs annual gross) apply to candidates from certain non-public sector banks.

Selection Process and Emoluments

The selection process is comprehensive and includes an Online Examination, Screening of documents, an Interview, and a Local Language Proficiency Test. Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the applied circle.

Emoluments: The starting basic pay is ₹48,480/- in the scale of ₹48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. Candidates are also eligible for D.A, H.R.A, Lease rental, C.C.A, PF, NPS, LFC, and medical facilities.
