The University of Kashmir Department of Food Science & Technology has announced an opening for the position of Junior Project Fellow (JPF).

This research opportunity is part of a project sanctioned by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir Department of Science & Technology titled “Utilization of polysaccharides and Chinar leaves for designing of hydrogels as a sustainable irrigation system for high density apple orchard plants”.

Eligible candidates must hold a Masters Degree in Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, Soil Science, Agronomy, or Horticulture. The department is seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong research aptitude who are ready to work in a collaborative environment. Kashmir University KU Deptt of Food Science and Technology Junior Project Fellow JPF Recruitment Advertisement/JKDST/FST/KU/2026 The selected fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 20,000/- per month. The position is temporary, co-terminus with the project, and is initially for a period of 02 years.
