The University of Kashmir, Department of Botany, Centre for Biodiversity & Taxonomy, has invited applications for the position of Project Associate-I. This vacancy is part of a multi-institutional research project titled “Bioprospection of Western Himalayan Wormwood (Artemisia L.) Germplasm for Characterisation and Isolation of Artemisinin (Anti-Malarial Drug), and its Biogenetic Precursors and other Novel Secondary Metabolites.”

The project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), New Delhi, and is conducted in collaboration with the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the research project.

Position	Essential Qualification	Desirable Experience
Project Associate-I (01 Position)	M.Sc. Botany with a minimum 55% of marks or equivalent CGP Grade.	Field experience in botanical survey and collection in high altitudes. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET or equivalent will be given preference.
