Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the National Standards Body of the country is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for engagement as Resource Persons for conducting sessions as Faculty in Capacity Building Programmes designed for various State Govern-ment Departments. These programmes will be organized by National Institute of Training for Standardization, BIS and BIS Branch Offices at various locations across the country.

For Resource Persons, BIS is seeking individuals having a minimum experience of 3 years in the relevant field who can be Member of concemed BIS Technical Com-mittees; Retired Officer of the concemed government department like, CPWD, PWD, PHED, Distribution Utilities, Water Resources, Irrigation, etc;

Faculty of the concemed discipline from Engineering/Science Colleges with prefer-ence to BIS’ partner Institutes; Serving Industry personnel/consultant of the concerned field; and member of the concerned professional bodies like Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Association of Structural Engineers, Indian Plumbing Association, Indian Water Works Association, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant areas. In addition, they shall have in-depth knowledge and experience in relevantareas and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Prov-en track record in training, capacity building, or related fields is desirable.

These Resource Persons are expected to deliver expert sessionsand training as per the session transaction plans and using the course materials and powerpoint pre-sentations to be provided by BIS.
