Recruitment Overview & Important Dates

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Northern Region has released Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1 for engagement of Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992.

The apprenticeship engagement covers states/UTs including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. Online applications opened on August 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM, and the last date to apply is September 6, 2026 up to 05:00 PM.

इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (आईओसीएल), विपणन प्रभाग, उत्तरी क्षेत्र ने अप्रेंटिस अधिनियम 1961/1973/1992 के तहत ट्रेड, तकनीशियन और स्नातक अप्रेंटिस के चयन के लिए विज्ञापन संख्या IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1 जारी की है। यह अप्रेंटिसशिप दिल्ली, हरियाणा, पंजाब, चंडीगढ़, हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू और कश्मीर, उत्तर प्रदेश, राजस्थान और उत्तराखंड सहित विभिन्न राज्यों/केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों को कवर करती है। ऑनलाइन आवेदन 7 अगस्त 2026 को सुबह 10:00 बजे से शुरू हो गए हैं और आवेदन करने की अंतिम तिथि 6 सितंबर 2026 को शाम 05:00 बजे तक है।

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

As of August 31, 2026, candidates must be between 18 and 24 years of age. Upper age relaxation is applicable as per government norms: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and up to 10–15 years for PwBD candidates. Educational qualifications must be pursued as full-time regular courses:

• Trade Apprentices (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics/Instrument Mechanic, Machinist): Matric with 2-year full-time regular ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.

• Technician Apprentices (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics): 3-year full-time Diploma in relevant engineering stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

• Graduate Apprentices: Full-time regular Graduate degree (BBA/BA/B.Com/B.Sc.) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

• Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator – Fresher/Skilled): Class 12th pass (below graduate); Skill Certificate Holders must possess a valid ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ skill certificate.

31 अगस्त 2026 तक उम्मीदवारों की आयु 18 से 24 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए। सरकारी नियमों के अनुसार ऊपरी आयु में छूट लागू है: एससी/एसटी के लिए 5 वर्ष, ओबीसी-एनसीएल के लिए 3 वर्ष और पीडब्ल्यूबीडी उम्मीदवारों के लिए 10-15 वर्ष तक। शैक्षणिक योग्यताएं नियमित पूर्णकालिक पाठ्यक्रम के रूप में पूरी होनी चाहिए।

Stipend Structure & Allowances

The training duration for all disciplines is 12 months. Stipend rates align with the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprentices Rules, 1992, and government guidelines. In addition to the statutory stipend, apprentices will receive ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses paid by IOCL (MD), Northern Region. For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, a portion of the stipend is disbursed directly via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through the BOAT/NATS portal. Candidates must ensure they have an active, Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account.

1. Register on the respective apprentice portals based on your discipline:

• ITI / Data Entry Operator: NAPS Portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).

• Engineering Diploma / Graduate Degree: NATS Portal (nats.education.gov.in).

2. Search for Establishment ID of IOCL (MD)-Northern Region Office:

• NATS Establishment ID: NDLSDC000005

• NAPS Establishment ID: E05200700003

3. After applying on the portal, candidates MUST submit their details and preferred locations via the Microsoft Office Form link by September 6, 2026, 05:00 PM: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/pw7D2cUK7c.

Selection Process & Verification Guidelines

Selection is strictly merit-based, determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed educational qualification. There is NO written test or personal interview. In case of a tie in percentage, preference is given to the older candidate; if dates of birth match, matriculation marks determine merit. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and pre-engagement medical fitness tests. Up to ₹3,000 will be reimbursed towards medical investigation expenses upon presenting receipts.
