Sub:- Announcement of Pre and Post Matric Scholarship to Scheduled Caste students for the year 2024-25.

Directorate of Social Welfare Department Jammu invites application forms under the following Scholarship schemes through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) of the Government of India which the students can apply under URL https://www.scholarships.gov.in

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students (9th to 10th Classes only)

2. Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students (11th Class onwards)

Opening of Portal 15July, 2024

Pre-Matric and Post Matric Scholarship to SC students.

Last date for application submission

31 October, 2024

Last for INO level 15th November 2024 verification

Last date for DNO level 30th November 2024 verification

For applicants:-

1. Applicants are advised to apply online on the website of National Scholarship Portal at www.scholarships.gov.in

2. Steps for applying on NSP.

(Students need to register on NSP by entering their details and Aadhaar/Aadhar Enrolment id/Bank Account No.)

Apply for Scholarship on NSP

(Using the id and Password generated after registration on NSP, students shall apply for scholarship by providing required details.)

3. Detailed “Instructions” for filling online application and “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are available on the National Scholarship Portal homepage.

4. All Universities/Institutes/Colleges/Schools having valid AISHE/U- DISE/NCVT/SCVT codes, located in & outside the State/UT, whose students avail these scholarships are advised to register themselves and get their KYC and Aadhaar-Demo-Authentication done at the earliest. They are also advised to get their courses details updated on the NSP at the earliest so that their students can apply and they can verify such applications on the Portal within the timelines. The timelines need to be adhered to strictly.
