Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in the Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), ₹ 57,700-1,82,400 in the following discipline/department of the University:

(www.cusrinagar.edu.in). Printout of the online employment application form alorng with all required documents may either be delivered personally or sent by post to the Registrar, Cluster University of Srinagar, Gogji Bagh, Srinagar, 190008 by or before 6th of June, 2025.

A) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, UNLESS MENTIONED ELSEWHERE IN THIS ADVERTISEMENT:

i) Masters in Business Administration (MBA) having specialization in Finance with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale where the grading system is followed) from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Any candidate having a master’s degree from a foreign University has to submit an equivalence certificate certified by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test recognized/accredited by the UGC.

Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinahces/Bye-Jaws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D.

candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:

a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;

b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean Academic Affairs/Controller of Examinations of the concerned University.

The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), (ii) the Times Higher Education. (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. All the relevant information/updates shall be uploaded on the University website. The candidates are advised to remain in touch with the University website www.cusrinagar.edu.in, To notify the same in newspapers shall not be obligatory on the University.

2. Interviews of the candidates shall be conducted subject to the availability of a minimum of three candidates, failing which the post shall be re-advertised.

3. All the self-attested certificates, including experience and other testimonials, shall be accepted only upto the closing date of the submission of the online employment application;

4. The time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. A degree

shall not be considered as teaching/research experience.

5. The appointment to the notified position is provisional and subject to the verification of documents/claims through proper channels. If the verification at any point reveals that any of the submitted certificate is fake or incorrect, action as warranted under the Provisions of Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita shall be taken.

6. The eligibility of candidates will be determined as on the last date fixed for submission of online application forms;

7. In case of a tie in the academic score, all the applicants having tie score shall be invited for an interview;

8. Age of superannuation shall be as per the norms applicable to this University.

9. All the appointees, including the in-service candidates, shall be governed by the New Pension System/Scheme (NPS) of the UT of J &K;

10. The University reserves the right:

a. To withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without assigning any

reason to this effect,

b. To fill or not to fill up the post advertised for any reasons whatsoever,

c. To increase/decrease the number of posts at the time of selection and make appointments accordingly,

d. Amendments/Corrigendum (if any), in the advertisement notice shall be published on the University website.

11. Cluster University of Srinagar will not be responsible for loss of any communication due to the wrong address (postal or electronic) provided by the candidate or unsuccessful transaction by the Payment Gateway, etc.

12. Teaching experience certificates claimed by the applicant must be issued by the Government/Government recognized higher education institutions (University/College, /Research Institute) and duly signed by competent authority

(Registrar for Universities/Principal for Government Colleges/Dean College Development of the Affiliating University for Private Colleges/Director for Research Centers/Institutions). No teaching experience shall be entertained if issued after the last date of submission online application form.

13. Teaching experience gained/achieved as guest faculty/academic counsellor/demonstrator/trainee/Instructor (IGNOU/MANU/Distance Mode) shall not be entertained.

14. The post-doctoral research experience claimed by the applicant should be from recognized institutions/agencies and duly signed by the competent authority (Dean/HoD/ Chairman) of the university.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Before applying for a post, candidates are advised to satisfy themselves about their eligibility.

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

3. In-service candidates shall route their applications through the proper channel, which should essentially reach the office by or before the conduct of the interviews. However, they must

submit an advance copy of the printout of the online application form before the last date. 4. Applications not accompanied by the following supporting and self-attested documents shall be rejected summarily:

i) High School certificate from a recognized board

ii) Marks sheet and degree of graduation

v) M.Phil./Ph.D. degree, wherever applicable

vi) Experience certificates, wherever applicable

In case self-attested hard copies of above aforementioned documents are not enclosed with the employment form, the employment application form will be summarily rejected.

5. The eligibility of candidates will be determined as on the last date fixed for submission of online employment application forms.

6. Any change of address given in the application form should be communicated to the University at once.

The University shall verify the antecedents/documents submitted by the candidates at the time of appointment or any time during the tenure of the service. In case it is detected that the documents submitted are fake or the candidate has clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, his/her services shall be terminated forthwith without

assigning any reason. 7. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.

8. In case the last date fixed for submission of the printout of the online employment application form is declared a holiday/closed day, the next working day shall be deemed to be the last date for submitting the forms

9. In case of any dispute, any suit or legal proceedings against the University, the jurisdiction shall be restricted to the Courts at Srinagar, J&K
