Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar has invited online applications from eligible candidates who are domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for various tenure positions. These positions include Senior Residents and Demonstrators across multiple medical and super-specialty disciplines.

The engagement is initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory performance certified by the concerned HODs. Non-service candidates will be engaged under relevant government orders (S.O. 364 of 2020), while in-service candidates must fulfill all pre-requisites including NOC from their parent department.

7	Paediatric Anesthesiology	D.M. (Paediatric and Neonatal Anesthesia) OR M.D./DNB (Anaesthesia).
8	Pediatric Gastroenterology	DM in Pediatric Gastroenterology OR MD/DNB in Pediatrics from an institution recognized by the NMC.
9	Pediatric Biochemistry	For Medical Persons: MD/DNB in Biochemistry. For Non-Medical persons: Master of Science and PhD in Medical Biochemistry.
10	Pediatric Nephrology	DM in Pediatric Nephrology OR MD/DNB in Pediatrics from an institution recognized by the NMC.
11-15	Cardiology, Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology	D.M./M.Ch./DNB/DrNB in the respective discipline from an institution recognized by the NMC.
16-17	Plastic and Re-constructive Surgery, Pediatric Surgery	M.Ch./DNB/DrNB in the respective surgery discipline from an institution recognized by the NMC.
18	Medical Oncology	D.M./DNB/DrNB (Medical Oncology) OR MD/DNB (General Medicine/Paediatrics/Radiation Oncology).
19	Geriatrics	MD/DNB in Medical Geriatrics OR MD/DNB (General Medicine) recognized by the NMC.
20-22	Surgical Oncology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Urology	M.Ch./DNB/DrNB (or MS/DNB for Surgical Gastroenterology) in the concerned specialty recognized by the NMC.

Candidates who have appeared in the Final Examination of Postgraduate/Postdoctoral courses in the relevant discipline are also eligible to apply.
