The Government Medical College Handwara has issued an advertisement notice for the engagement of Senior Residents and Demonstrators on an Academic Arrangement basis. This engagement is conducted under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020 for various departments within the college. The positions are initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years, contingent upon the work conduct and performance as reported by the concerned Head of Department. Candidates from the Public Service Commission (PSC) must fulfill all pre-requisites according to J&K Civil Service rules 1979 and provide an NOC from their parent department.

1	Anatomy	i. MBBS with MD/DNB in the concerned discipline from an Institution recognized by NMC and registered with J&K State Medical Council. Or ii. Post-graduate Medical Degree in M.Sc. with PhD in medical subjects of concerned discipline.
2	Physiology	i. MBBS with MD/DNB in the concerned discipline from an Institution recognized by NMC and registered with J&K State Medical Council. Or ii. Post-graduate Medical Degree in M.Sc. with PhD in medical subjects of concerned discipline.
3	General Medicine	MBBS with MD/DNB in the concerned discipline from an Institution recognized by National Medical Commission and registered with J&K State Medical Council.
4	Psychiatry
5	Obstetrics and Gynaecology
6	Radiotherapy
7	Paediatrics

The maximum age for eligibility is 45 years as of the cut-off date, except for the departments of Anatomy and Physiology where the maximum age limit is 50 years. Selected candidates are prohibited from private practice or any other simultaneous employment and must work on a full-time basis.

A Demand Draft of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred) from Jammu Kashmir Bank pledged to Chief Accounts Officer, Govt[dot] Medical College Handwara is required.

Required documents include: MBBS/MSc Degree and Registration, MD/MS/DNB/PhD degree, Marks certificates for all years, Higher Qualification certificates, Date of Birth certificate, Domicile certificate, and an Affidavit from a 1st class magistrate.
