Applications through online mode are Invited from the eligible applicants who are domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and possessing the prescribed Academic/Professional qualification
l.e. MBBS and Internship from any recognized Medical College for engagement of the tenure post of House Surgeons in the various disciplines of Government Medical College, Srinagar. The selected candidates shall be engaged for a period of six months
Only those candidates can apply, who have permanent Registration certificate from the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Council or National Medical commission, otherwise their application(s) shall not be entertained.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES: –
a) Candidates are advised to go through the instructions and all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post before filling in the online application form.
b) Link for filling up online application form for the above position shall be available on the official website of Government Medical College, Srinagar i.e. https://www.gmcs.ac.in/ w.e.f. 23.06.2025 from 10:00AM onwards to 07.07.2025 upto 04:00PM. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted
c) Candidates are required to sign up before filling in the application form.
d) After logging into the account, candidates are required to fill in all the requisite fields of One Time Registration (OTR) i.e. personal information, contact information & educational Qualifications, service details and uploading documents etc.
e) Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of original certificates/affidavit. Photocopies of certificate/affidavit uploaded shall not be entertained. Size of Certificate/affidavit must be less than or equal to 1024KB in PDF format only.

f) The candidate shall also be required to upload Images of recent photograph, signature and thumb impression. Size of photograph (passport size) and signature/Thumb must be less than or equal to 700KB in .jpeg or.jpg only.
g) The candidate must write his/her name, parentage and date of birth strictly as per the matriculation certificate.
h) Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to login to the online application portal on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.
1) Applicants are advised to fill all the fields of the online application form with due diligence and after carefully reading the terms and conditions given in the advertisement notification, request for change/correction in any particulars in the application form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances.
J) Applications with blurred/illegible photograph/signature will be rejected summarily.
k) In case of fake/fabricated application/registration by misusing any dignitaries name/photo, such candidate(s)/ shall be held responsible for the same and liable for suitable legal action under cyber/ IT Act/relevant rules.
1) All disputes related to refund of excess payment, if any, can be resolved after following the due process at Government Medical College, Srinagar. Candidates are advised to apply for refund of excess payment, if any, through official emall [email protected] only. No Chargeback request shall be entertained.
m) Candidates shall ensure that their e-mail ID and phone Nos, as specified in the online application form are active during the currency of selection process.
n) After successful payment through online mode viz Net Banking, UPI, Credit or Debit cards, a nonrefundable amount of ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only, the fee status with transaction detalls will be reflected on the Online Application form.
0) After the application form is successfully submitted, It will be accepted provisionally, candidate should take the colored printout of the application form(s) and submit hard copy(s) of the same alongwith xerox coples
uploaded certificates in the Office of Registrar Academics, Government Medical College, Srinagar as and when asked to submit.
The selected candidates shall be paid monthly stipend as admissible under Government Rules.
All the candidates shall be required to submit an affidavit duly attested by Judicial Magistrate alongwith application form to the effect that: –
1. They shall not claim any experience certificate, in case they leave House Job before completion of six months.
2. They will not participate in any kind of strike during the period of their tenure engagement. In the event they proceed on strike, their engagement shall be terminated without any notice as this service is covered under ESMA Act.
3. They shall remain disciplined during the whole tenure; any kind of misconduct shall make them liable for termination without any prior notice.
4. They are not involved in any criminal activity or there is no FIR pending or registered in any criminal department or police station against them.
5. They will not indulge in any private practice. In case they are found doing private practice their appointment shall be liable for termination without any notice.
