In terms of S.O 364 dated 27-11-2020, applications on plain paper are invited from eligible candidates (Domicile & Non Domicile) Non-PSC/Retired for engagement as Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor on academic
arrangement basis in GMC Udhampur, initially for a period of Three years in case of Professor and Associate Professor and for a period of one year in case of Assistant Professor, extendable up to a maximum of six years (one year at a time and subject to good performance and conduct) or till the selection is made in accordance with recruitment rules governing the respectiv
e posts, whichever is earlier. Further, the extension after three years shall be made on year-to-year basis by the Principal after the approval of the Government.

As per the relevant Recruitment Rules
a) Teaching Experience Minimum 13 years teaching experience (as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor combined) from an institute recognised by NMC. (Candidate should have worked as Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar in concerned subject for 2 yrs)

The selection of the candidate shall be made in terms of Government Order No.282-JK(HME) of 2023 Dated: 04.04.2023.
The candidates shall submit the copies of the following documents with their application in the office of Principal Government Medical College, Udhampur within two weeks from the date of issuance of this notice in person or through email: – [email protected]. No application form shall be entertained through any other means.
1. MBBS Degree and MCI /NMC/State Medical Council Registration Certificate (in case of Medical candidates)/Post-graduation Degree/MCh, D.M. in the concerned discipline from a recognized University in case of non-medical candidate.
2. MBBS marks sheets of all professional examinations (1st, 2nd, pre final, final).
3. Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB/ Super Specialty).
4. Experience Certificate shall be issued by the competent Authority/Head of the Institution recognised by the NMC.
5. Professional Publications, published in indexed/national journals, as prescribed. Poster Presentation, Oral Presentation, certificate of Book writing etc.
6. Gold Medal for overall first position in MBBS.
7. Category Certificate if any.
8. Date of birth Certificate.
9. Domicile Certificate.
10. Affidavit duly attested from 1st Class Magistrate Stating the doctor is not in active in Govt.
Service.
11. Attempt Certificate of all examinations of MBBS/MD/DNB/Ph. D. or any other qualification issued by the University.
12. Any other document if required by the selection committee during the process of recruitment.
(All documents should be self-attested).
Note: –
1. The appointees on academic arrangement bases shall be paid a monthly consolidated salary as per the scales defined in the S.O 364 dated 27-11-2020.
2. The appointment on academic arrangement basis shall by itself stand terminated on attainment of 70 years of age by the appointee.
3. The services of an appointee under these rules shall be terminable before the expiry of the tenure of appointment with one month’s notice from either side or on payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice by the appointing authority. In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.
4. The engagement of the appointee shall be terminated without any notice in case of indiscipline, unsatisfactory performance or mis conduct.
5. The applications of faculty members already working in Medical colleges of UT of J& K shall be considered only after production of NOC from the respective Heads of the Institutions.
6. In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.
7. The application must be accompanied with a Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/ (One Thousand Rupees in favour of Principal Government Medical College Udhampur payable at Udhampur.
