📣 ICMR Scientist-C Recruitment 2025: Exciting Opportunities in Medical Research, New Delhi! (Adv. No. ICMR/Sc-C/02/2025-RPCell)

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an Autonomous Organization under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, is engaged in biomedical/health research. ICMR operates through its Headquarters at New Delhi and 27 Institutes/Centres across the country.

ICMR invites online applications from Indian Citizens to fill Eight (08) vacancies of Scientist-C. These positions are in Level 11 of Pay Matrix (Rs.67,700-2,08,700) (7th CPC Scale) and include usual allowances admissible to ICMR employees. The appointment will be on a regular basis under Direct Recruitment, with initial posting at ICMR Hqrs./Institutes/Centres at Delhi/NCR, and liability for all India transfer.

The last date for receipt of applications is 17th November, 2025, till 5:30 PM.

The details for the Scientific Positions are as follows:

| Medical (08) | Not exceeding 40 years. Note: The prescribed age limit may be relaxed for exceptionally meritorious candidates, with the approval of the DG, ICMR, for reasons to be recorded in writing. | MBBS or equivalent degree recognised by MCI/NMC | 4 Years | MD/MS or equivalent degree recognised by MCI/NMC or MPH from a recognised university OR Ph.D. from a recognised University in Science related to Biomedical |

Notes on Experience and Qualifications:

* PhD will be considered as 4 years’ experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree).

* MD/MS or equivalent to be considered as 3 years’ experience.

* MPH/M.Tech/ME will not be considered as any experience.

* Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences in Govt./Public sector/Private Institutions will be admissible.

* The period spent on obtaining minimum essential educational qualification shall not count towards experience.

* Qualifications and experience may be relaxed in the case of exceptionally meritorious candidates, with the approval of the DG, ICMR.

Selection Procedure & Application Details

The Selection will be based on a computer-based written test (MCQs) or interview, or both. If a written test is held, it will be based on the understanding of research methods, will be of a qualifying nature, and the minimum qualifying requirement is 75 percentile.

Application Fee

A non-refundable Application Fee of Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) is required.

SC/ST/Women/PwBD/EWS candidates are exempted from the application fee. The fee must be paid through the online link provided in the application form.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted along with the online application fees, exclusively through the online mode on the website https://recruit.icmr.org.in.

* Candidates must ensure they fulfill the eligibility conditions on the last date of submission. Applications that do not meet the qualifications/eligibility conditions on the cut-off date will not be accepted.

* Working applicants in Centre/State Government Department/Public Sector Undertakings & Govt. funded research agencies must submit a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) from the employer at the time of personal discussion, with an undertaking that they will be relieved within one month of receiving the appointment order.

* Candidates must upload scanned, self-attested/attested copies of certificates/documents for educational qualifications (from Matric onwards), detailed marks obtained, date of birth, category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD), and experience certificate(s). Failure to upload these requisite documents will result in the cancellation of candidature.

* Duplicate applications from any applicant will result in the cancellation of all such applications.

Causes for Rejection of Application (Likely)

Applications may be rejected for reasons including:

* More than one application form for a particular category.

* Incomplete or not online.

* Full fee not deposited in the prescribed manner.

* Applicant does not possess the requisite academic qualification on the cutoff date.

* Failure to upload requisite documents (age, essential qualification, MCI registration, category certificate).

* Candidate is overage/under age on the cut-off date/closing date.

* Lack of essential criteria, as prescribed in the advertisement.
