Advertisement for recruitment of Teaching positions at IIIT Sri City
Indian Institute of Information Technology Sri City, Chittoor known as IIIT Sri City (IIITS) was established in 2013
by Ministry of Education, Government of India as an Institute of National importance by an Act of Parliament. The
institute is located in Sri City (www.sricity.in) located about 60 KMs from Chennai on the Nellore Highway. The
nearest airports are Chennai (70 KMs) and Tirupati (70 KMs). IIITS was setup by the Government of India along
with Government of Andhra Pradesh and Industry Partners represented by Sri City Foundation as a Public-
Private-Partnership (PPP) institution. The Institute strictly runs as Public- Private-Partnership (PPP) mode and is
governed by the Board of Governors consisting of eminent personalities as members from the Government,
Industry and Academia. IIITS offers B. Tech, M.Tech, M.S. and Ph.D. programmes in the areas of Computer
Science & Engineering, AI and data Science and Electronics & Communications Engineering.
I. Posts:
There are 46 vacancies available across the group/departments of CSE, ECE and Mathematics, Data Science for
Professor (Pay level-14 of 7th CPC), Associate Professor (Pay Level -13 of 7th CPC) and Asst Professor Grade I, II, III
(Pay Level 12, 11, 10 of 7th CPC) for CSE and ECE under this 4-tier flexible faculty structure and Associate Professor
(Pay Level -13 of 7th CPC) and Asst Professor Grade I, II, III (Pay Level 12, 11, 10 of 7th CPC) for Mathematics & Data
Science. Only Asst Professor Grade III (Pay Level 10 of 7th CPC) is available for English. The number of posts for
each cadre may increase or decrease due to administrative reasons.

Other Requirements:
1. The research areas listed in the advertisement are in general. However, only those candidates will be
considered whose areas of research are required for the department/Institute at the time of the selection
process.
2. Internal candidates who are fulfilling essential qualifications, relevant experience and other essential
requirements, may also apply for these posts irrespective of specializations indicated in the above table.
3. The candidate should be able to teach maximum number of core and/or elective courses at UG and PG
Level offered by the department to which the candidate has applied.
4. All the candidates shall have Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and shall have first class in the preceding
degrees. The preceding degrees means graduation (UG) onwards.
(i) In case, the University/Institution does not mention first class in the degrees, the candidates should have
passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA/CPI (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks in aggregate. Conversion
from CGPA/CPI to percentage or vice versa given by the individual Institute/ University will be
considered/allowed for determination of eligibility.
