1. Indian Navy invites applications for the posts of Boat Crew Staff classified as Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-industrial from eligible candidates to apply online through Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in for the posts of Syrang of Lascars, Lascar-I, Fireman & Topass. Selected candidates normally will have to serve in the unts under administrative control of Headquarters Westem Naval Command, Mumbai. They can however be posted anywhere in India, at Naval units formations as per administrative requirement The vacancy details are as fotows

3. Reservation. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categones are available as per extant Government Orders. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SCA, STR.

OBCS, EWS candidates which will thus comprise of SC ST, CBC, EWS who are either lower in ment than the last candidate on merit list of UR category or SC/ST/OBC candidates who have availed age relaxation for respective category irrespective of their position in merit list.

Similarly, reserved vacancies for PwBDs, ESM & Ex-Agniveers will be filled up from amongst such eligible candidates from respective category who are lower in merit than the last candidate on merit list of respective category but otherwise found suitable for the appointment even

Note (a) Sırang certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act 2021 will also be accepted as Inland Vessels Act, 1917 has been superseded by Inland Vessels Act, 2021

(b) The experiente ganed for the posts of Syrang of Lascars and Lascar- must be cotained on a vessel registered under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 or Inland Vessel Act, 1917/2021 with a valid “Certification of Survey If the vessel is a fishing vessel the vesaal is to be registered and licensed as per the Manne Fishing Regulation Act. 1978 or under any of the Fishing Regulation Act of States Uть

(e) For the post of Fireman, the certificate of having completed pre-ses training course is required to be i a. w. Director General of Shipping (DGS) Circular No. 18 of 2020 deled 24 Apr 2020 and 20 of 2020 dated 27 May 2020.

The format for course completion certificate shall be as per that mentioned at DOS Circular 20 of 2020 For certificates awarded prior to 01 Jun 2020, the certificate of having completed pre-sea training course is to be law. DGS Circulars/orders issued from time to time for that relevant period.

The name and logos of the Maritime Training Institute (MT) is to be clearly mentioned at the top of the certificate along with the MTI No and Certificate No. The MTI is required to have been registered and approved by Director General of Shipping during the period the pre-sea training course was undertaken. The candidates are required to submit the following attachments

(1) Attachment 1-Copy of the pre-sea course completion certificate (Degree/Diplomal course certificate)

(ii) Attachment 2 Copy of the certificate for successful assessment of TAR book/Cadet record book of the approved shipboard training

(d) All supporting documents necessary to prove experience and essential qualifications are required to be submitted at the time of filing online application.

The same shall be verified the time of documents verification pre-appointment formalties and thereafter indian Navy reserves the right to issue provisional Offer of Appointment only after vetting, scrutiny or/and completion of verification of all supporting documents with relevant authorities.
