Application are invited for filling up the below mentioned position under the DST -PURSE sponsored project “Establishment of an Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Research Program for Chronic Diseases”. The position is purely contractual & co-terminus with the project. The last date for receipt of applications is 14-03-2025.

Project Associate – II
Essential qualifications
a) M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Medicine/Clinical Biochemistry/ Biosciences, or Immunology.
b) 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions, or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
Job description: The candidate would be involved in a research project on ‘Understanding the role of gut microbiota in high prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Kashmir valley’
Desirable qualifications: Experience in in vitro/ex vivo/in vivo models of research in chronic diseases, cancer, microbiology, immunology
Fellowship
i) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through
a) National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
ii) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i)
