Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (RA) under the project titled
“Experimental Investigation and Implementation of Power Control and Transfer Techniques for Photovoltaic
based System” sanctioned by J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and
Technology, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir, in favour of Dr. Faroze Ahmad (PI), Associate Professor, Department
of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Islamic University of Science and Technology. The position is
temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Particulars Description

Monthly emoluments Rs. 20,000/ month (Consolidated)
Eligibility Essential qualification: B.Tech. E&C Engineering / Electrical
Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
(Preference shall be given to candidates possessing GATE /
Master’s qualification in the relevant field)
Desirable: Specialization in Photovoltaic/Power Electronics
Duration Initially for a period of six months extendable based on
performance and subject to the availability of funds.
Display of shortlisted list of candidates Will be displayed on the university website
Day, Date and Time of Interview Will be displayed on the university website

Interested candidates are requested to fill the application form as per the given format and send PDF copy, along with
all the necessary supporting documents (such as CV, academic certificates etc.), via e-mail to Project Principal
Investigator (PI): Dr. Faroze Ahmad, e-mail: [email protected] with the subject marked as
“Application for RA position (Candidate Name)”.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
i. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim
for regular appointments in the university.
ii. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without
prior notice.
iii. Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) at the time
of interview.
iv. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
v. Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience etc at the time
of appearing in the interview.
vi. The University reserves the right to defer/not to filling up of post advertised here in above, without assigning
any reason thereof.
vii. In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one-month salary).
viii. The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or
funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.
