Employment Notice

Online applications from the domiciles of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir are invited for the

following position available in the Islamic University of Science & Technology, Kashmir, purely

Essential Qualifications:

1. Diploma or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from a

recognized University / Institute with a minimum of 55% marks or

equivalent Grade Point Average.

2. Minimum two years of experience in handling CNC/VMC machines

and CNC/VMC programming.

Desirable Skills:

1. Proficient understanding of various machine tools and accessories,

including tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, and inserts.

2. Experience in offline tool setting, calibration, and verification

processes.

3. Working knowledge of CNC control systems such as SIEMENS and

FANUC.

4. Ability to perform precise machine adjustments, including offset wear,

geometry corrections, and fine-tuning for optimal performance.

Monthly Consolidated Remuneration: ₹29,200/-

Terms and Conditions / Instructions:

1. The engagement shall be purely contractual and shall not confer any right whatsoever on

the appointee to claim continuation or otherwise.

2. Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the University website

www.iust.ac.in and pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500/- (Rupees five hundred

only). Upon successful submission of the online application, candidates must submit the

hard copy of the duly filled application form, along with self-attested copies of all

relevant documents and certificates, to the office of the Head, Department of Mechanical

Engineering, on or before the last date of submission. Failure to submit the hard copy

within the stipulated time shall result in cancellation of candidature.

3. Eligible candidates will be informed about the date and venue of the written

test/interview through email or the University website. The University shall not be

responsible for non-receipt or delayed receipt of intimation by the candidate.

4. All updates/addenda/corrigenda shall be uploaded on the University website

https://www.iust.ac.in only.

5. Candidates with degrees from foreign universities must enclose an “Equivalence

Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

6. The University reserves the right to defer or not fill the advertised post without assigning

any reason.

7. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts advertised.

8. Appointees shall abide by the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and rules of the

University, as well as the prescribed code of professional ethics.

9. The engagement order and salary will be issued only after a satisfactory verification of

character and antecedents from relevant agencies.

10. In case of disputes, the jurisdiction shall be confined to the Court of Srinagar only.

11. No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in the test/interview.
