KASHMIR ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Frontier Research Institute of Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIIS) invites applications for the position of Junior
Research Fellow (JRF) under the PM-ECRG Scheme.
The selected candidate will work on the research project:
“PDAC Tumor Cells Evade CD8 T Cell Cytotoxicity via NLRC5-Mediated Downregulation of MHC-I
Pathway.”

Name of the Position Junior Research Fellow
Monthly emoluments Rs. 37,000+HRA ( HRA as per university guidelines)
Eligibility Essential qualification:
Postgraduate Degree in
Biochemistry/Biotechnology, Clinical-
Biochemistry/Microbiology/Bioinformatics selected through any one
of the following:
a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship
(Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b) The selection process through National level examinations
conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies
and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR,
ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, NISER etc
Desirable: Candidates having expertise in Tissue culture/Genome Editing/ Mice
handling will be preferred
Duration Initially for a period of one (01) year extendable based on
performance and subject to the availability of funds.
Location Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIIS), 3rd Floor, Academic Block XI, IUST Awantipora
Interested candidates must submit their application in the attached format, along with their CV, NET/GATE
qualification certificate, and all relevant documents, combined into a single PDF file.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
I. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for
regular appointments in the university.
II. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without
prior notice.
III. Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) at the time of
interview.
IV. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
V. The University reserves the right to defer or not to fill up the post advertised here in above, without assigning
any reason thereof.
VI. In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one-month salary).
VII. The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or
funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.
