Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals (including Overseas Citizen of India Cardholders) for recruitment on various Teaching Positions. The process of receiving the application forms through the CU-Chayan portal shall start from 10.02.2025.
Last date for receiving the application forms is 07.03.2025 and the candidates are required to submit the Hard Copy of the online filled applications form by 17.03.2025 failing which, their candidates may not be considered.
A. FACULTY OF HUMANITIES & LANGUAGES

2. One Professor, Department of English
3. One Professor, Department of Foreign Languages
Eligibility (A or B):-
A.
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/ relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Asstt. Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
OR
B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied /applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) /industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years experience.
Desirable qualifications/specialization for the post at S.No. 3:-
i) Master’s degree in French and Francophone studies/ Italian Studies/Portuguese Studies/Russian Studies/Spanish & Latin American Studies.
ii) Experience in curriculum development in Foreign Language Education/Translation Studies/Literary and Cultural Studies.
Experience in structuring and teaching of interdisciplinary work research programmes.
4. One Professor (German), Department of Foreign Languages
Eligibility (A or B):-
A. i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the German Studies and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANTS
1. Applications along with the prescribed application fee are to be submitted online mode through CU-Chayan portal i.e. https://curec.samarth.ac.in.
2. Submission of hard copy of application is mandatory. Candidates have to submit hard copy of the application (single copy) along with the self-attested copies of all the documents claimed by them in the online application.
The supporting documents should be serially numbered and the serial numbers are endorsed against the relevant entry in the hard copy of the application. Hard copy of the application shall be submitted in “Recruitment & Promotion Section (Teaching), 2nd Floor, Registrar’s Office, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-110025” by 17.03.2025.
3. Qualifications, experience, etc. will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of filled-in applications i.e. 07.03.2025. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay in case of receipt of application forms.
4. The Academic score as specified for Asstt. Professor in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only. The Selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview for all categories.
