JKSSB Class IV MTS Sanitation Worker Jobs Advertisement Notification No 09 of 2026

Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026 dated 01 September 2026, inviting online applications from eligible candidates for 2,863 posts of Class‑IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker in various departments of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

जम्मू एवं कश्मीर सेवा चयन बोर्ड (JKSSB) ने विज्ञापन सूचना संख्या 09/2026 दिनांक 01 सितंबर 2026 जारी की है, जिसमें जम्मू एवं कश्मीर केंद्रशासित प्रदेश के विभिन्न विभागों में 2,863 चतुर्थ श्रेणी (MTS) एवं सेनेटेशन वर्कर पदों के लिए पात्र उम्मीदवारों से ऑनलाइन आवेदन आमंत्रित किए गए हैं।

The vacancies are spread across multiple departments including Agriculture Production, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, ARI & Trainings, Culture, Estates, Higher Education, Public Works (R&B), Floriculture, and Sericulture. The posts are available in UT Cadre, Divisional Cadre (Jammu & Kashmir), and District Cadre.

Educational Qualification: For Class‑IV (MTS) – Minimum Matric (10th) and Maximum 10+2 (as per S.O. 184 of 2020 and SRO 99 of 2008). For Sanitation Worker – Minimum 8th Pass and Maximum 10+2 (as per S.O. 132 of 2022). Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before the cut‑off date (03.11.2026).

शैक्षणिक योग्यता: चतुर्थ श्रेणी (MTS) के लिए – न्यूनतम मैट्रिक (10वीं) और अधिकतम 10+2 (S.O. 184/2020 एवं SRO 99/2008 के अनुसार)। सेनेटेशन वर्कर के लिए – न्यूनतम 8वीं पास और अधिकतम 10+2 (S.O. 132/2022 के अनुसार)। उम्मीदवारों के पास अंतिम तिथि (03.11.2026) तक निर्धारित योग्यता होनी चाहिए।

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026): Open Merit – 40 years (born between 01.01.1986 and 01.01.2008). Reserved Categories (SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/OBC/EWS/ALC/IB) – 43 years. PwBD – 42 years. Ex‑Servicemen – deduction of service period from actual age, with a maximum relaxation of 3 years. Relaxation of 5 years for casual workers (as per S.O. 184 of 2020).

आयु सीमा (01.01.2026 तक): खुली श्रेणी – 40 वर्ष (01.01.1986 से 01.01.2008 के बीच जन्म)। आरक्षित श्रेणियाँ (SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/OBC/EWS/ALC/IB) – 43 वर्ष। PwBD – 42 वर्ष। पूर्व सैनिक – वास्तविक आयु से सेवा अवधि की कटौती, अधिकतम 3 वर्ष की छूट। कैजुअल वर्कर्स के लिए 5 वर्ष की छूट (S.O. 184/2020 के अनुसार)।

Domicile: Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before the cut‑off date (03.11.2026).

डोमिसाइल: उम्मीदवार जम्मू एवं कश्मीर केंद्रशासित प्रदेश के मूल निवासी होने चाहिए और अंतिम तिथि (03.11.2026) तक सक्षम प्राधिकारी द्वारा जारी वैध डोमिसाइल प्रमाणपत्र रखते हों।

Application Fee: ₹600 for UR/OBC candidates. ₹500 for SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, and PwBD candidates. Fee must be paid online through Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Fee once paid is non‑refundable.

आवेदन शुल्क: UR/OBC उम्मीदवारों के लिए ₹600। SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS और PwBD उम्मीदवारों के लिए ₹500। शुल्क का भुगतान नेट बैंकिंग, क्रेडिट कार्ड या डेबिट कार्ड के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन किया जाना चाहिए। शुल्क एक बार भुगतान करने पर गैर‑वापसीय है।

How to Apply: Candidates must apply ONLINE ONLY through the official JKSSB website www.jkssb.nic.in. The detailed instructions regarding filling up online applications will be made available on the Board’s website. No other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the application.

आवेदन कैसे करें: उम्मीदवारों को केवल ऑनलाइन आधिकारिक JKSSB वेबसाइट www.jkssb.nic.in के माध्यम से आवेदन करना होगा। ऑनलाइन आवेदन भरने के संबंध में विस्तृत निर्देश बोर्ड की वेबसाइट पर उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे। आवेदन का कोई अन्य माध्यम स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा। उम्मीदवारों को आवेदन भरने से पहले निर्देशों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ने की सलाह दी जाती है।

Selection Process: The selection will be based on a Written Test (Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions) in English Language only. Negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Additional weightage marks are provided for UT Cadre, Divisional Cadre, and District Cadre as per S.O. 184 of 2020. The final merit will be determined on the basis of written test marks + additional points.

चयन प्रक्रिया: चयन एक लिखित परीक्षा (वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार, बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न) पर आधारित होगा, जो केवल अंग्रेजी भाषा में होगा। प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए 1/4 अंक की नकारात्मक अंकन होगी। UT कैडर, डिवीजनल कैडर और जिला कैडर के लिए S.O. 184/2020 के अनुसार अतिरिक्त वेटेज अंक प्रदान किए जाएंगे। अंतिम मेरिट लिखित परीक्षा के अंक + अतिरिक्त अंकों के आधार पर निर्धारित की जाएगी।

Additional Weightage (UT Cadre): Written Test – 85 marks; Family not in Government service – 05 marks; Widows/divorced/orphan girls – 05 marks; Casual worker (5+ years) – 05 marks. Total: 100 marks.

अतिरिक्त वेटेज (UT कैडर): लिखित परीक्षा – 85 अंक; परिवार सरकारी सेवा में नहीं – 05 अंक; विधवा/तलाकशुदा/अनाथ बालिकाएँ – 05 अंक; कैजुअल वर्कर (5+ वर्ष) – 05 अंक। कुल: 100 अंक।
