Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for two posts of Assistant Professor (Tenure) available in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research & Innovations of the University (Post Code: PGD-CIRI-1) carrying Pay Matrix Academic Level -10 of 7th CPC, (Rs. 57700-182400) plus allowances as admissible. The positions are tenure based for a period of five years or till the completion of the project titled: “DBT-Builder- University of Kashmir Interdisciplinary Life Science Programme for Advance Research and Education,” sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

I) IMPORTANT DATES:

	Submission of Online Forms/ Hard Copy from	27th November, 2025
II	Last date for Submission of Online Forms	26th December, 2025
III	Last date for submission of Hard copy	31st December, 2025

II) QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the PG level in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics/Clinical Biochemistry from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
Specialization required: (Genomics/Epigenetics/Mass Spectrometry).

ii) NET shall be the compulsory requirement for those with Post-Graduate Degrees only. But, in respect of candidates who belong to UT of J&K and are not NET qualified, SET shall be the compulsory requirement.

iii) The candidates without NET or SET having Ph.D Degree in the concerned subject in compliance of the UGC Regulations, 2009, with amendments from time to time shall be exempted from NET/SET.

Provided candidates registered for Ph.D prior to July 11, 2009 are governed by previous rules, subject to conditions (a to e).

Note: Ph.D degree from top 500 ranked foreign university (QS/THE/ARWU) is also eligible.

III) PERCENTAGE EQUIVALENCE OF GRADE POINTS FOR A SEVEN POINTS SCALE:
“B” grade is equivalent to 55%.

IV) SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORMS:

Step 2: Register as Applicant using valid Email ID and Mobile Number.
Step 3: Login using Username and Password.
Step 4: Fill details, Preview, Submit, and print form.
Step 5: Pay Rs. 1200/- online. PWD candidates are exempted.

V) SUBMISSION OF DOWNLOADED APPLICATION FORM (HARD COPY):
Submit print-out with enclosures to:
Deputy Registrar (Recruitment), Administrative Block, University Campus, Hazratbal, Srinagar-190006, J&K.

Envelope should be superscribed with Post Name, Post ID, Advertisement Notice No., and Date.

Forms received after last date will be rejected.

VI) SHORTLISTING OF CANDIDATES:
Shortlisting as per UGC Regulations 2018 criteria (Academic Score 80 + Research 10 + Experience 10 = 100).

20 candidates will be shortlisted per post.
Detailed scoring table included (Graduation, PG, MPhil, PhD, NET/JRF, Publications, Experience, Awards).

VII) OTHER CONDITIONS:
Salary is project-funded.
Ph.D exemption requires MSP certificate.
Foreign degrees require AIU Equivalence Certificate.
Predatory publications not accepted.
Original documents may be sought during selection.
No TA/DA for interviews.
University may not fill posts.
