The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is inviting applications for its stipend-based internship programme for the financial year 2026-27. The program aims to innovate and contribute new techniques to the field of disaster risk reduction.

Eligibility Criteria:

The program is open to students in their final year of graduation or those pursuing post-graduation, MPhil, or Ph.D. in Disaster Management and allied fields such as Sociology, Social Work, Economics, Psychology, Geography, and Engineering. Candidates who have recently completed their degree or are awaiting final results may also apply, provided they secured at least 65% marks in their last degree or semester.

Nature of Assignment:

Interns will be engaged in various divisions including Gender Issues, Psychosocial Care, Cyber Disaster Management, Climate Resilience, and Media & Mass Communication. The internship duration ranges from 2 to 4 months, with a maximum intake of 15 interns per cycle.
