Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position (01 post) under RESPOND Program of ISRO,
Department of Space, Govt. of India, funded Project
Applications are invited for the post of a JRF under the RESPOND Program of ISRO, Department of Space, Govt.
of India, funded project entitled “RES-PRL-2023-008: Modelling or experimental work related to
interplanetary/planetary dust” sub-theme “Shear Strength, Compressibility, and Load- Settlement Behavior of
Lunar and Martian Regolith Simulants: Lunar and Martian Geotechnics: LuMar Geotechnics” under the Principal
Investigator, Dr. Majid Hussain
Qualification:
• M.Tech/M. E (Geotechnical Engineering).
• Project-related experience will be desirable.
• Candidates with good publication and research records shall be given preference.
Nature & Period of Post:
Appointment as JRF initially for one year with a possibility of extension for a second year. The extension is subject to
satisfactory performance and release of the grant.
Job Description:
Execution of the project, including conducting experimental and computational work, contributing to the setup of
fabrication and development, manuscript and report writing, day-to-day project documentation, and management.
Fellowship:
Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA

Terms and conditions:
• The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project and /or the availability of
funds. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
